"Senior Jazz Band Happy Jam" appeared in "Continuing Spring Jazz @ Bosch Hall" Spring Jazz ""
It started with eight beginners in 2002, and now it has become a band known to those who know it among music lovers around here.
Interviews, photos, and texts = inhabitant of a ward writer Sayasu Nagashima
The band's motto is "Health, fun, and improve."
Senior bands care about their health. In particular, everyone feels the decline in memory. Kaneko, who is in charge of trombone, says, "Looking at the music and putting it in my head, then blowing the instrument is a good training to keep my memory." "I'm very excited to play together with everyone and have many times the joy of playing musical instruments on my own." It's not just fun.
Welfare activities are another pillar
They deliver the joy of music at local events and other events. "It is useful for people by what they really enjoy, and that way of thinking may be the secret to continuing welfare activities through music."
Currently, there are about 20 working members.
"If you want to enter, don't refuse to enter and organize it as it is. Good, bad, I don't care about it."
One song I recommend from Kaneko to me who doesn't know jazz well.
Latin Jazz's song "Blue Spanish Eyes"
If you are far from jazz, please ask me. You may like it.
Happy Jamu's exhibition panel and posters for performances resumed after the end of COVID-19 are eye-catching.
