Seasonal charm of Tsuzuki Ward

 Tsuzuki Ward, Yokohama City, was born on November 6, 1994 through the reorganization of Kohoku Ward and Midori Ward, and is a green city where new streets and old connections live. As we celebrate our 30th anniversary in 2024, we created a video summarizing the seasonal scenery and the liveliness of the community in about two minutes to showcase the appeal of Tsuzuki Ward   both inside and outside the city.

Spring

Egawa Seseragi Green Road

 Egawa murmuring green road where advanced treated water from Tsuzuki Wastewater Treatment Plant flows while moisturizing the city.
 promenade is maintained and you can take a walk while watching the seasonal flowers. Especially on the riverbank upstream of the Kohoku Interchange on the Daisan Keihin Expressway, many Yoshino cherry tree and tulips are planted, making it a great place to stroll through the warm spring sunshine.

Kamoike Park

 It is a long park next to the main road, which is about a 20-minute walk from Center Minami Station. There is a pond using spring water, and Indian spot-billed duck is swimming. Cherry blossoms are blooming around the pond, and you can enjoy a relaxing sight of ducks and cherry blossoms.
 There is a facility called Kamoike Park Children's Log House in the park, where children can play indoors while feeling the warmth of trees.

Yamazaki Park

 It is located about a 5-minute walk from Nakagawa Station on the Municipal Subway, and is a large park with ponds and pools (summer only). Cherry trees are planted around the sports square, and you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing under the cherry trees.

Flower garden of Kawawacho Station appetizer

 In front of Kawawacho Station, there is a canola flower field where you can enjoy a collaboration between canola flower, cherry blossoms and trains in spring.
 The land owners are raising this canola flower field carefully to excite Kawawa-cho.
 Various types of cherry blossoms with different flowering times are planted, such as the early blooming "Large Fishing Cherry Blossom", and you can enjoy canola flower and cherry blossoms for a long time.

Summer

Yokohama-designated Intangible Folk Cultural Property "Mushiokuri"

 It will be held in traditional event in Neighborhood Associations, Minamiyamada in late July. When there were many paddy fields in the town, pests attached to rice ears were collected with torchlights, put on music, and sent out to the outside of the town. It is still handed down as traditional event, and it is the Intangible Folk Cultural Property designated by Yokohama City. The sight of more than 100 torches swaying along with the music is very fantastic and is popular as one of the summer traditions.

Local summer festival

 From July to August, Tsuzuki Ward   hosts summer festivals organized by Neighborhood Association and Neighborhood Associations in various regions. There are stores, Bon dances, stage announcements of local children, etc., and it is full of many people. There are also festivals that take place in the evening when the heat calms down, so why not join us in the cool evening?

Autumn

Tsuzuki Chuo Park

 Located about a 12-minute walk from Municipal Subway Center Minami Station, it is the largest park in the city, and has facilities such as observation plazas and rest areas while retaining nature such as satoyama and forests. There is also a parking lot attached to the park, so you can go by car.
 In addition to the autumn leaves you see, you can enjoy cherry blossoms in the spring, and seasonal events such as the Rose Festival and the Tanabata Festival are also held.

Sasabune no Michi

 It is a green road that connects Tsuzuki Chuo Park, Kamoike Park, Ohara Minemichi Park, etc. The babbling flows beside the promenade and the quiet green path surrounded by trees, and as you can see, the autumn leaves are wonderful.
 Sasabune no Michi is also connected to other green paths such as Sekirei no Michi and Yubae no Michi, so be sure to take a stroll along the Tsuzuki Ward   green path.
 When strolling along the green road, the "Water and Green Walking Map" is recommended. Sasabune no Michi is included in the route of the N course out of 15 courses.

Tsuzuki inhabitant of a ward festival

 This festival is held on November 3 every year to enjoy "Furusato Tsuzuki" created by inhabitants of the ward, groups and local companies.
 Performances such as brass band and dance are performed on the ticket square stage at the venue, and booths such as goods sales, PR corners and food and beverage sales are lined up around the Tsuzuki Ward   General Government Building and around Center Minami Station.

Winter

German Christmas Market in Tsuzuki

 Tsuzuki Ward   has seven companies headquartered in Tokyo Yokohama Germany Gakuen and Germany, with the most German nationals living in the city. The exchange project between the ward and Germany started in 2011 on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Japan-Germany exchange. "German Christmas Market in Tsuzuki" has become a winter feature of Centerkita and is a valuable opportunity to experience German culture.

Dondo-Yaki bonfire

 "Dondo-Yaki bonfire" is a local event that brings in New Year's decorations and the beginning of writing, and wishes for a year's health. Depending on the area, you can bake and eat rice cakes and enjoy opening a store, and it is popular as one of the fun winter events that many families visit.
 Tsuzuki Ward   is a relatively new town 30 years after its birth, but you can enjoy the old traditional event. Participating in familiar seasonal events may help you discover unexpected charms.
