About notification when we provide food at local events
In Yokohama City, the “Guidelines for Handling Food Provision at Events” (hereinafter referred to as the “Guidelines”) for the purpose of preventing food poisoning and other accidents at local events such as summer festivals and inhabitant of a ward festivals held in the area. ).
If you are a local event that falls under any of the following and provide food at an event that meets the requirements stipulated in the guidelines for the number of days and place of the event, please submit a “Notification of Event”. (In the case of the target event, the provision of food under the hygiene management specified in the guidelines is treated as not requiring a business license under the Food Sanitation Law.)
- Athletic meet and summer festival organized by residents' organizations such as Neighborhood Associations, Neighborhood Association and shopping streets
- Citizen's festival which is sponsored or co-sponsored by the city
- fair festivals such as shrines and temples
- Agricultural festivals, industrial festivals, etc. organized by various organizations such as agricultural cooperatives and fishery cooperatives
- Various events held by welfare organizations
- Corporate festivals held by companies to local residents, etc. (except when they are held in the form of events as part of the company's original business activities)
- School festivals, athletic meet, bazaars, etc. hosted by schools (including nursery schools and kindergartens)
When opening a store at a local event that does not fall under food-related business, be sure to adhere to the rules such as the scope of the menu provided and food hygiene management to prevent the occurrence of food poisoning.
Please submit the “Notice of Event” to Aoba Ward Health Sanitation Division Food Sanitation Officer at least two weeks before the event.
