physical checkup

As a result of the reform of the healthcare system, the basic Health Checkups (physical checkup implemented by the ward office) ended in fiscal 2007.
From April 2008, we will visit physical checkup once a year, which is conducted by medical insurers (National Health Insurance Association, employee health insurance, Seafarer Insurance and Mutual Aid Association).
Please contact each contact for details on the implementation method and details of the implementation.
In addition, those who are undergoing treatment in lifestyle-related diseases or those who are in nursing homes subject to The Long-term Care Insurance may not be eligible.
Please bring your required documents and make a reservation directly with the medical institution.

Note 1 Eligible Japanese nationals who remain in China are those who meet all of the following conditions and their spouses.

Note 2 The target persons of the medical system for elder senior citizens are those who fall under any of the following.

If you are under the age of 40 and wish to receive physical checkup, please contact your local medical institution. You will have to pay for it.

If you need to issue a medical certificate from physical checkup for enrollment or employment, please contact your local medical institution first.

Until the day before your 75th birthday, you can take a specific medical checkup (free) of the National Health Insurance. However, since procedures are required in advance, please contact the ward office Insurance and Pension Division National Health Insurance Section.
In addition, after your 75th birthday, you can have a medical examination at Health Checkups, Yokohama City (free).
