Since March 2017, Asahi Ward, Yokohama National University, and Urban Renaissance Agency have been promoting a project in which university students actually live in housing complex, with the cooperation of local communities such as the Neighborhood Associationhousing complex,experimental project, and the Shopping Association.
In December 2019, the Sakonyama Atelier 131110, which was established in housing complex using the special support project for art creation in Yokohama, joined the initiative, and the activities of university students are expanding from the perspective of art.
Asahi Ward, Yokohama City, has created a promotional booklet that summarizes the initiatives centered on university students in housing complex Sakonyama as a new attraction.
Going forward, the three parties will continue to work together to promote community support activities by university students.
