In July 2018, Yokohama City has been working on the “Yokohama Carbon Offset Project” for large-scale sporting events such as the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games as one of its initiatives aimed at achieving zero carbon Yokohama by 2050. This initiative widely calls on citizens and businesses for CO2 reduction activities equivalent to carbon dioxide (CO2) generated in large-scale sporting events.
From April 15, 2021, we will start recruiting participating citizens and businesses in 2021.
