In 2023, the government formulated the "Basic Policy for the Realization of GX" and revised the "Basic Hydrogen Strategy", and announced policies such as the realization of GX investment of 150 trillion yen over the next 10 years, the establishment of large-scale bases for supply and demand for the realization of a hydrogen society, and support systems.
Yokohama City has also established the Yokohama Decarbonization Innovation Council to respond to national trends and promote decarbonization toward 2050 while attracting GX investments.
Taking advantage of the potential of the coastal area of Yokohama City, we aim to form a large-scale base for the supply and demand of next-generation energy such as hydrogen by industry, academia and government, and aim to create innovation by deepening cooperation in research and development of advanced technologies that contribute to decarbonization.
