Today, Mayor Takeharu Yamanaka, Chairman of the Zero Carbon Municipal Council, has submitted "Proposals on National Measures and Budgets for FY2024" to relevant ministries and agencies.

Today (July 24), Mayor Takeharu Yamanaka, Mayor of Yokohama, together with the Vice Chairman City of the Council, as chairman of the Zero Carbon Municipal Council (hereinafter referred to as the Council), in which 238 municipalities nationwide participate, We will inform the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of the Environment as we have submitted "Proposals on National Measures and Budgets for 2024".
In order to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, the proposal calls for the steady selection of decarbonized pre-decarbonized regions and a willingness to drive local governments, including financial measures such as the "Regional Decarbonization Transition and Renewable Energy Promotion Grant."
The Zero Carbon Municipality Council will continue to work closely with the government to promote the realization of a decarbonized society by 2050.
