The ITU World Triathlon Series Yokohama Games Organizing Committee (members: Yokohama City, Yokohama City Sports Association, Japan Triathlon Union, Nikkei Sports Newspaper) has decided to hold the 2020 ITU World Triathlon Para-elite Competition, which was scheduled for Sunday, May 16, 2020 due to the spread of COVID-19 infection.
Until today, we have been working with related organizations and experts to explore various possibilities for the event, especially in the Age Division, and have discussed with the International Triathlon Union (ITU), the Japan Triathlon Union (JTU), and related organizations. However, in consideration of the spread of infection in COVID-19, we have determined that we have to give up the event.
