The 13th anniversary of the conclusion of the agreement! -We will promote friendly exchanges centered on decarbonization and SDGs between Shimokawa-cho, Hokkaido and the Kawakami district of Totsuka-ku and Totsuka Ward.

　In August 2011, Shimokawa-cho, Hokkaido, Neighborhood Associations and the Totsuka Ward Office concluded a friendship exchange agreement with the three parties in August 2011, following the purchase of offset credits to foster forests in Shimokawacho.
　Shimokawa-cho and Totsuka Ward have mutually learned about initiatives in different natural environments and actively promoted various initiatives, including exchanges between local governments and exchanges among parliamentarians.
　In August 2024, we will continue to promote various exchanges and cooperation based on the agreement in fiscal 2024, and will continue to promote cooperation related to decarbonization and the SDGs, as well as further exchanges in anticipation of the GREEN × EXPO 2027 held in Yokohama City.
