Eliza R. Sidmore, an American travel writer who created the opportunity for Japan-US cherry blossom exchange. Shedmore cherry blossom seedlings related to her were donated by the "Sidmore Cherry Blossom Association Yokohama" to commemorate the GREEN x EXPO 2027 in 2027. These seedlings were planted near the Maioka Kumanodo intersection in Totsuka Ward on Friday, January 31, 2025, 777 days before the GREEN × EXPO 2027. This time, the seedlings planted will become large trees in a few years and will bloom. We will watch carefully with the local people and take care of them for a long time.
