We carry out public hearing business such as "proposal from citizen" or "mayor petition" to listen to opinion or request for municipal administration.
In addition, at each ward, bureau, and general headquarters, we also listen to your opinions at the counter and telephone of the department in charge.

About opinion or request that we had as "proposal from citizen" or "mayor petition", we decide to answer within 10 opening agency days in principle from the next day of reception day.

※We will respond by sending it out.
※The reception date is the arrival date for letters, documents, and submission forms, and the reception date for e-mails and faxes. However, for those that have arrived or received after 4:00 pm on the opening day and those that have reached or received a closed day, in principle, the next open agency day will be the reception day.
※About thing which answered by "document" or "e-mail" by "proposal from citizen" and "mayor petition", on city website, point of opinion or request and answer of Yokohama-shi (response situation) Is posted.

"Suggestions from Citizens"

Please send "suggestions from citizens" to the ward office Ward Administration Promotion Division of your ward (if you live outside the city, Citizen's Bureau Public Affairs Consultation Section) in one of the following ways.

1.Dedicated submission form (available in some public facilities such as district centers and libraries, in addition to city halls, ward offices, and administrative service corners.)

2.Submission form on the city website

3.Email address for "Suggestions from Citizens" in each ward

4.Private sealed letters, postcards, and faxes that clearly state "Suggestions from citizens" (For destinations, see the list of destinations from citizens.)

"Mayor petition" (from group)

We accept opinions and requests sent to the mayor in writing from the group as "mayor petition". We send opinion or request that had you approach to department in charge and send answer as city in writing.

If you have any comments or requests regarding a specific location, please bring them directly to the ward office Ward Administration Promotion Division or send them by mail. If you span multiple wards or city-wide projects, you can receive them at the Citizen's Bureau Public Affairs Consultation Section (City Hall 12F).

In addition, there is not established style in the mayor petition, but please be careful about the next point.
・The document clearly states "Mayor of Yokohama"
・The name of the organization, the position and name of the representative, and the contact information such as the location (Address) must be clearly specified.
・The content of opinions and requests must be clearly specified.
・It is subject to disclosure requests as administrative documents, and the name of the organization and the name of the representative must be disclosed in principle (personal information written in the text of the document and other signature books will not be disclosed)
