Under the deep blue autumn sky, the 95th anniversary of the constituency system, the 2022 Magaya inhabitant of a ward festival was held at Hodogaya Park on Saturday, October 29.
The "Hoshigaya Kumin Festival" was held for the first time in four years due to bad weather and the COVID-19 pandemic, but this time it was blessed with the weather, and many people came to the venue early in the morning, and everyone started with radio exercises.
In addition to the performance of the Miyata Junior High School brass band club and the Yokohama Minato wadaiko by the Ground Self-Defense Force's Yokohama Garrison, this year, as an event commemorating the 95th anniversary of the Hodogaya ward system, a hula dance show by the Spa Resort Hawaiians in Fukushima Prefecture and a “Kumamai-CUBE-” that combines soccer and music.
In addition, this year, the Central District became the first champion in a tug-of-war competition against the district, in which six districts participated. We will continue to implement it for the 100th anniversary of the constituency system five years later, so we look forward to the participation of many districts.
