Registration of domestic dogs and rabies vaccination

If you have a dog older than 91 days, you must register with a local government and rabies vaccination once a year. (Rabies Prevention Act)

The window is Health and Welfare Center Health Sanitation Division, a veterinary clinic commissioned by the city (injection and registration) and a pet shop (only registration / purchase).

Only in April, procedures are also being carried out at city business trip venues.

※If you are unable to receive rabies vaccination

If your dog is ill or older and it is difficult to get an injection, consult veterinarian. If you are diagnosed as unable to give an injection, ask them to issue a "rabies vaccination grace certificate" and submit it.

If there is a change in the registration items, such as moving, transferring the dog, changing the owner's name, etc., please notify us.
If you are moving out of Yokohama City, please bring your dog dog's license tag and send it to the municipal office where you are moving. (Procedures in Yokohama are not required.)
