Notice About holding of joint commendation ceremony of Konan Ward safe and secure town development, 3R town beautification in 2024
Joint commendation ceremony and commemorative lecture handbill
The awards ceremony will be held to express our gratitude to individuals and organizations who have contributed to the promotion of beautification activities in the 3Rs and towns in the region, as well as to traffic safety, anti-crime program and fire prevention and disaster prevention activities.
Noriyuki Isobe of the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) will also give a lecture to commemorate this.
Admission is free, so please come by all means!

The survey by the manned diving research vessel Shinkai 6500 revealed that the deep sea bottom, which cannot be seen by humans, is contaminated with disposable plastics. In addition, we will introduce "transparent board," a new material that replaces plastics, which is being researched and developed by JAMSTEC as a marine-friendly material.
On the day of the event, a video will be broadcast that allows you to know the details of the deep sea bottom and "Shinkai 6500".

At the same time, a certificate of commendation will be awarded to those who have been in the Environmental Business Promotion Committee for many years and those who have won the fire prevention poster contest.

What is the Safety and Security Town Development Promotion Council?
Aiming at a town where people can live safely and with peace of mind, inhabitants of a ward, various groups, and related administrative organizations cooperate to carry out comprehensive enlightenment activities. .
Konan Ward was established in 2004 and was the first council in Yokohama to integrate traffic safety, anti-crime program, fire prevention and disaster prevention.
Safety and Security Town Development Campaign
Several times a year, comprehensive awareness-raising activities (campaigns) are held jointly by each organization.
This year, in December, we conducted publicity and awareness-raising activities for traffic safety and crime prevention in order to ensure safe spending during the year-end and New Year holidays when incidents and accidents increase.

Since 2011, the award ceremony has been held jointly with the Safety and Security Town Development Promotion Council and the Global Warming Countermeasures / Yokohama Pra 5.3 (garbage) Planning Promotion Headquarters. .
At the joint award ceremony, the awards ceremony will be given to individuals or groups who have contributed to the promotion of local 3Rs and beautification activities, as well as the promotion of traffic safety, anti-crime program and fire prevention and disaster prevention activities. We also hold lectures to commemorate this.
