To raise children without corporal punishment
Last updated on March 21, 2025.
Let's expand child care that does not depend on corporal punishment!
In June 2019, the "Law Concerning the Prevention of Child Abuse" was revised, and the prohibition of corporal punishment by parental authority was stipulated. The purpose of this amendment is not to punish parents who have corporal punishment, but to promote child-rearing without corporal punishment throughout society. Yokohama City also revised the "Yokohama City Ordinance to Protect Children from Abuse" in October 2021, adding that there is no act of damaging children's dignity, such as corporal punishment, and all children are respected as one person and grow healthy.
In order for children to grow up healthy, each person must change their awareness of corporal punishment. At the same time, in order to create a society where parents are not isolated and children can easily grow up, we will foster momentum that does not tolerate corporal punishment, etc., and aim to give a warm look to the growth of children with tolerance, and raise children throughout society. Need to go. Let's realize a society without corporal punishment while supporting child-rearing families.
