Notification of transfer using My Number Card / Basic Resident Register Card (moving from outside the city)
It is procedure at window for person who submitted transference notice using my number card, Basic Resident Register card in municipalities to live before to perform transference procedure in Yokohama-shi. It will be accepted at the ward office Family Registry Division Registration Section, where you are moving. (Procedures cannot be made at the City Hall / Administrative Service Corner)

Notes
When you do not use my number card, Basic Resident Register card, please see transference notice (moving from outside the city).
Person who reports (applications) and can do
- Person who has my number card or Basic Resident Register card
- A person who has moved in with same household with 1
- Optional proxy/agent with power of attorney from 1 or 2
Notes
- Even if Address is the same, people with different households need a power of attorney.
- In the case of a voluntary proxy/agent, you will not be able to continue using the card.

Within 14 days after moving and within 30 days from the scheduled moving date
Notes
- It is not possible to submit a notification before moving.
- If the 14th day falls on the closing date of the ward office, the next opening date will be the last day of notification period.
- Outside the above application period, you will not be able to submit a transfer notification using your My Number Card or Basic Resident Register Card. Please obtain a “certificate equivalent to a transfer certificate” at the municipality before moving, and submit a normal transfer notification.
What I need

- We also have a style at the ward office.
2.Identification documents of the person coming to the counter
- Driver's license
- Passport (passport)
- My number card (personal number card) or Basic Resident Register card with photo

3.My Number Card or Basic Resident Register Card
You will need to enter your card PIN (4-digit number) during the procedure. (except in the case of voluntary proxy/agent procedures)
4.(In the case of proxy/agent requested by the person or the person in same household) Power of Attorney

From 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday ※Excludes public holidays and New Year holidays.
From 9:00 am to noon on the 2nd and 4th Saturday (about ward office window opening agency of the 2nd and 4th Saturday)
Notes
- Notification of transfer cannot be made at the city hall, administrative service corner, or other ward offices.
- It may take some time to complete the procedure. Please check the congestion forecast calendar and come with plenty of time.
- In Yokohama City, even those who have notified us of the transfer notification by the minor portal scheduled to come to the agency, are also asked to fill out the resident transfer registration form at the ward office Family Registry Division window and issue a number tag using the ticketing machine.
If you continue to use the card
My number card or Basic Resident Register card can be used continuously in Yokohama City. However, in the following cases, the procedure for continuous use may not be possible on the same day as the transfer notice.
- If you are unable to submit a transfer notice within notification period
- If the person holding the card and the person in same household perform the transfer procedure and the PIN of the card cannot be confirmed.
- When a voluntary proxy/agent submits a transfer notification
Application for issuance of digital certificates for signature
The digital certificate for signature of My Number Card will automatically expire upon the change of Address. If you would like to issue it, please also apply for the issuance of a digital certificate.
Notes
- Please notify us within 14 days from the date you start living at the new location or within 30 days from the scheduled moving date, whichever comes first. After that, the card will expire and you will not be able to submit a transfer notice using the card (you will need to reissue your My Number Card). Please obtain a “certificate equivalent to a transfer certificate” at the municipality before moving, and submit a normal transfer notification.
- If you submit a transfer notification using a card, you will need to enter your PIN on the card when submitting a transfer notification at the ward office window of the moving destination.
If you forget the PIN of the card, or if you cannot enter the 4-digit PIN of the card at the ward office window of the moving destination and lock it, you will not be able to read the information on the IC chip, You will need to apply for a PIN reset at the window. - If the notification of transfer has not been completed at the municipalities before moving, you will not be able to submit a transfer notification at the ward office window of the moving destination.
