Protection and development of Intangible Folk Cultural Property

In Yokohama City, among the Intangible Folk Cultural Property protection organizations operating in the city, which we have grasped in previous surveys, we have succeeded to folk performing arts related to the local community and are passionate about preserving and inheriting successors. We have selected organizations and are designated as “certified organizations”. In Yokohama-shi, we issue subsidy to authorized group which needs subsidy. If you are interested in certified organizations, please contact the Board of Education Secretariat Lifelong Learning and Cultural Properties Division.
※It is a system different from the designation and registration of cultural properties based on the Yokohama City Cultural Properties Protection Ordinance.
