In Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau, in cooperation with JICA, we provide training for administrative officers to improve waste management in Africa.
We have created an introduction video about the history of waste management in Yokohama and international cooperation in Africa, which can be learned in three minutes.

The City of Yokohama has been engaging in international technical cooperation in the field of Waste Management.
In particular, the City of Yokohama has collaborated with JICA to conduct training sessions for administrative officials from African countries and cities to improve waste management in Africa.

We accept overseas inspections at waste disposal facilities in Yokohama, such as factories, sorting facilities, and landfill.
In addition, we have released a 360-degree video introducing burnable garbage's processing in multilingual subtitles.

By actively participating in international conferences, etc., we strive to understand the situation and issues in each country and city.
At the same time, we also promote the initiatives of Yokohama City and share knowledge to contribute to solving problems.
