Area introduction

In the old days, it prospered as a post town on the Oyama Kaido on the Tokaido, and in 1908, Nagatsuta Station opened in conjunction with the opening of the JR Yokohama Line. As a transfer station for the JR Yokohama Line, Tokyu Denentoshi Line, and Yokohama Minatomirai Railway Children's Country Line, there are more than 100,000 passengers a day, making it a major transportation node in the city.
Along with the new townscape, the history that is the charm of the town has been inherited, and it has become a lively town suitable for a traffic node that makes use of the history. In addition, social activities are thriving as a base for culture and exchange, and the shopping district is also a lively town.
