[58th] Kamoi Hayashiren (Kamoi folk performing arts Preservation Society) has been certified as a "Yokohama City Intangible Folk Cultural Property Protection Organization"!

Kamoi Hayashiren (Representative: Mitsuru Yanagishita) was certified as a Yokohama City Intangible Folk Cultural Property Protection Organization.

On March 27, we visited a performance show (co-hosted by Kamoi Union Neighborhood Association (Chairman: Takeru Kimura)).

Recently, I feel that there are fewer opportunities to enjoy performances and dances directly, but Kamoi Hayashi has a history of nearly 200 years. It is said to have originated in the Tenpo era of the Edo period, and has been handed down to the present day.

In the meantime, I heard that there were various difficulties such as fostering successors, but they are steadily protected and raised here in Kamoi. Members also had elementary school students, and performed light drums and dances. Some people who started as elementary school students are now university students and continue their activities.

On New Year's Day, each family in the town will be visited by lion dance and entertain us at various events such as Kamoi's Setsubun Festival, Cherry Blossom Festival, Keirokai, Welfare Festival, and Residents' Festival.

I hope that this Kamoi music will be inherited in Kamoi for a long time. Kamoi Hayashi members, I look forward to your continued support.
