[1st] Reiwa 3 (FY2021) has started

　This is Ms. Okada, Mayor of Midori. I arrived here in Midori Ward in April 2020, and it was my second year at the earliest. Thank you very much for your continued support.

　In April, it was a season when colorful flowers were in full bloom. Along the Onda River and Tsurumi River rivers, which jog the riverbed on holidays, we can see the creeping phlox planted by the local community blooming bright pink flowers and feel the coming of spring.

　COVID-19 infection has greatly changed the way everyday life has been done.
　In 2020, various events were canceled, and there were very few opportunities to meet with everyone directly, and I was full of disappointing thoughts, but in 2021 we would like to regain the liveliness of the region based on a new lifestyle while firmly preventing infectious diseases. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the inhabitants of the ward for their understanding and cooperation to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, and to the people involved in medical care and nursing care.

　In 2021, Yokohama City will start with vaccinations at facilities for the elderly for vaccination for citizens. About inoculation for elderly people, we are going to send guidance sequentially from person 80 years or older in the end of April. In order to ensure that vaccinations are carried out smoothly, the Midori Ward Office will firmly establish a system and work on it.

　"Furusato Midori" is a town where warm "connections" that the inhabitants of the ward have nurtured carefully in rich nature live. As the ward office will work together to pass on this attractive town to the next generation, thank you again this year.
