In 2003, various crimes were on the rise in Minami Ward, and it was urgently necessary for residents, businesses, schools and related organizations to work together to actively engage in crime. In addition, in a public awareness survey conducted in 2004, public expectations for anti-crime program were rising, as the anti-crime program Measures ranked first for the first time in more than a dozen years due to government requests.
The Minami Ward Regional anti-crime program Promotion Liaison Committee wasNeighborhood Association and Neighborhood Associations, and was established on July 29, 2004anti-crime program with the slogan "Let's protect our own city!" In 2017, it was reborn as the Minami Ward Safety and Security Community Development Promotion Liaison Committee to further deepen cooperation among police and fire departments.
