Specified medical expenses (designated incurable disease) medical expenses subsidy program
Among the so-called incurable disease where the cause is unknown and the treatment method has not been determined, the disease specified by the Minister of Labor Atsushi is called “designated incurable disease” and currently 341 diseases (as of April 1, 2024) are designated.
The designated incurable disease medical expenses subsidy program is designed to provide a part of medical expenses for those who meet certain criteria to reduce the burden on patients in medical expenses and promotemedical expenses treatment.
In order to receive the grant from medical expenses for the designated incurable disease, it is necessary to apply for grant approval and obtain certification.
Target disease
341 diseases including Parkinson's disease and ulcerative large enteritis
