About pet measures at the time of disaster
It is only the owner who can protect the pet during a disaster. Be prepared on a regular basis in case of emergency.
To the owner
1 Let's clearly indicate the owner
In the event of a disaster, you may be separated from your pet.
Make sure you know the owner, such as a dog dog's license tag, a rabies vaccination vote (for a dog), a lost tag, or a microchip.
2 Let's discipline
When evacuating with your pet, do basic discipline to avoid disturbing others.
〇 Get used to cages and carry bags.
〇 Get used to contact with people and other animals.
〇 Be able to excrete in a designated place.
〇 Do not bark unnecessarily (in the case of a dog).
3 Let's manage health
Rabies vaccinations (in the case of dogs), vaccinations for disease prevention, and extermination of ticks and fleas on a daily basis.
Also, make a note of your vaccination history, medication history, etc. in your pet notebook.
4 Let's prepare stockpiles for pets
〇 Food, water, medicine (more than 5 days)
〇 Spare collars and leads
〇 Toilet supplies (pet sheets, newspaper, toilet paper)
〇 Toys, care products (brushes, wet tissues, etc.)
〇 Pet notebook (distributed at the 64th floor of the ward office "Health Sanitation Division Environmental Sanitation Section" window!)
〇 Cage and carry case
5 Let's find a temporary storage place for pets.
If you suddenly leave it in an unknown place, it will be a great stress for your pet.
Find a place where pets can feel safe on a daily basis, such as relatives, acquaintances, animal hospitals and pet hotels.

Toward Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations
In the past large-scale disasters, there were many cases where survivors with pets evacuated to evacuation sites.
Be prepared from normal times, such as setting temporary breeding places for pets and setting rules for accepting them so that major confusion does not occur in the event of a disaster.
The ward office Health Sanitation Division provides support for the creation of rules in each evacuation shelter.
Manual for opening and operating a temporary pet breeding place
We have created an example of a manual for opening and operating a temporary breeding place for pets. Please modify it according to the local situation and use it.
