If you decide to use the service ... In principle, we will contact you by phone around the 21st of the month before the desired month of use.
When we cannot use ... We send "facility, business use adjustment result (pending) letter of advice".

• Result inquiries can be made after the 21st of each month.
• In case of pending, the (pending) notice will be issued only at the time of the first screening. If there is no addition of a nursery school you wish to use, a (pending) notice will not be sent out from the following month, but will be notified only when a job offer is made.
• Before or along with the results, we will issue a payment authorization decision letter. If a valid payment authorization decision letter has already been issued, it may not be issued again.

• If you have received the "Reservation Notice" and need proof that it is still on hold, you will be issued a separate "Reservation Certificate". If you wish, please submit a “Reservation Certificate Grant Application” to the ward office Children and Families Support Division in your ward after the ban date (21st of the previous month) of the entrance result of the month you wish to certify.

• It cannot be issued to those who do not apply for a nursery school during the target year or those who are not on hold in the desired month of certification.

• This application is valid until March 2026 entrance application (end of 2025).
• If it is suspended, it will be automatically subject to adjustment from the following month to March 2026 until the use is decided, so there is no need to apply again during the fiscal year.
• If you wish to use a nursery school after April 2026, you will need to apply again for April 2026 (next fiscal year). (Reception scheduled to start around October 2025)

Children with disabilities, severe food allergies, delays in growth and development, and other concerns are available at the Children and Families Support Division office in their ward prior to their application. I would like to explain the flow of future procedures.

Applications will be made to Yokohama City via the childcare section of your current municipality. Documents must be received by the deadline of Yokohama City, so please apply in advance. In addition, please submit style of Yokohama-shi as much as possible to judge priority based on standard of Yokohama-shi. If required items cannot be read, the priority may be lowered.

Depending on the municipality, you may be able to apply directly to Yokohama City without going through the childcare section of your municipality. Please tell us if you plan to move, etc., and check with the childcare department in your municipality in advance which application method you will use.

You can apply for use even if you do not plan to move in, but it will be treated as a resident outside the city and the priority will be reduced.

If you do not wish to apply for use, you will need to withdraw your application. Please submit "use application withdrawal form" to ward office Children and Families Support Division immediately. It cannot be withdrawn by verbal contact. If submission is delayed, the results may be disadvantaged because usage adjustments have already been made.
