Open call for participants and selection of designated managers carry out proposal examination by open call for participants type proposal method and select the next designated candidate.
What is the designated manager system?
With designated manager system, a part of the Local Autonomy Law was revised (enforced in September of the same year) in June, 2003.
Regarding the management and operation of "public facilities", a designated manager system has been introduced, and the management and operation of facilities, which had previously been limited to public organizations, etc., can be entrusted to a wide range of organizations, including private businesses.
