Overview
The plate monument is a type of stone pagoda that was actively built in the Middle Ages, and is called because it is shaped like a plate. There are a wide variety of stone materials and shapes depending on the region. This Kangen era nameplate monument is located in the collective cemetery of Kamoshidacho.
Initially, the monument stood east in the center of the three Koyamas of Kawaraishi lined up, and underneath 6 to 7 warehouses surrounded by Kawaraishi were buried, and had the character of a tombstone. It seems to have been. The plate monument is made of green mud schist from Chichibu. On the monument, a seed Kirik, which represents Amida Buddha, is engraved with Yakken, with the date of Kangen era second mouth and July Hatsuguchi on the left. This 1244 is the oldest monument found in the prefecture in 1244 in the Christian era.
