Guidance for business operators

Last updated on December 6, 2023.

In Yokohama City, we provide guidance on weight reduction and recycling to businesses to achieve the goals of the Yokohama 3R Dream Plan.
By distributing printed materials such as "How to separate business-related garbage and recyclable garbage" and holding workshops, etc., we promote the spread of weight loss and recycling.
In particular, in addition to requesting the owners of large-scale buildings to submit "plans for reduction and resource recycling" and waste and recyclable waste disposal flow chart (Excel: 41KB), on-site inspections by city officials We conduct, appoint waste management managers, and hold workshops.

From December 1, 2003, we stopped accepting wood waste, paper waste, and textile waste generated from the construction industry at Motoichi Incineration Plant.
In addition, we have decided to separate and recycle recycle paper, which can be recycled into resources, and are not allowed to be transported to incineration plants.
At the incineration plant, in order to prevent unauthorized import of garbage, we conduct inspections of incoming items and provide take-out guidance.
