City of Yokohama, Road and Highway Bureau and Yokohama National Highway Office of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism have been working on traffic safety measures for residential roads using ETC 2.0 big data in Nakayama-cho, Midori-ku.
Based on the demonstration experiment in November 2018, a smooth pedestrian crossing has been installed, and full-scale operation has been underway since March 2020.
As a result of analyzing big data up to September 2020, it was found that the vehicle's driving speed has been reduced to less than the target of 30 km/h.
