Since 1996, Yokohama City has selected excellent technicians who contribute to the lives and culture of citizens as "Yokohama Meisters", and 71 Yokohama Meisters have been born so far.
In order to promote skilled occupations, Yokohama Meister conducts activities to foster younger generations in each technical professional organization, and also conducts activities to widely convey the importance and splendor of handwork and manual work to society through hands-on classrooms and lectures. I am.
