With the suspension of blast furnaces in September 2023 in the Keihin area of JFE Steel Corporation East Japan Works, there were concerns about the impact on the prefecture's economy and employment. In March 2022, we established the "Related Administrative Organization Collaboration Headquarters for Suspension of JFE Steel Corporation's blast furnaces, etc."
