At Kitakata Elementary School (Naka Ward) and Ryokuen Higashi Elementary School (Izumi Ward), school lunch offered an original menu in October and November 2020 with the cooperation of Professor Tomoko Tani of Ferris Jogakuin University and students of the "Project Exercise" course.
This time, the “Hyakunin Isshu Menu”, which was very popular at both schools, will be provided to junior high schools in the city with Hama dialect as a special menu with side dishes for Hama dialect.
On the day of the offer, Hamaben Day will be held at two junior high schools in the city, and lunch hours will be used to carry out school broadcasts on food, such as the relationship between waka and menu, and promote food education initiatives.
