This year's 27th Yokohama Children's International Peace Speech Contest was held from mid-June to early July, with approximately 40,000 elementary school studenｔ students from elementary schools, junior high schools, and special needs schools in Yokohama.
Representatives selected at each ward qualifying round etc. will participate in speech contests (finals).
In association with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations in 2015, children will share their passion for international peace from various perspectives unique to elementary school studenｔ students, such as a peaceful and fair society, reduction of inequality, cooperation for them, consumption responsibly, and gender equality.
