On May 30, 2023, Minister of Energy, Mineral Resources and Low Carbon Innovation of British Columbia, Canada, visited Yokohama Port and visited the methanation facility at Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. Yokohama Techno Station.
Yokohama City explained its efforts to achieve carbon neutrality, and Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. explained methanation and exchanged opinions.
Minister Joji Ozbone and Director of Port and Harbor Director Hiroya Nakano confirmed that they will continue to cooperate in decarbonization efforts.
