On October 19, 2023, Yokohama Port and Oakland Port have built fruitful friendship and cooperation since the sister port alliance (May 1980) to promote trade and trade. The two ports have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on "Green Shipping Corridor" in order to further strengthen and improve relations toward the realization of a decarbonized society.
