The 20th Kamisasashita District Shakyo Sweet Potato Harvest festival was held.
Last updated on November 1, 2024.
On October 26, the 20th Kamisasashita District Shakyo Sweet Potato Harvest festival was held in a field in the Hitorizawa area.
Don't worry about rain, not too hot or too cold, just right Harvest festival weather.
Starting with a greeting from Mr. Sugiu, Chairman of the Japan National Council of Social Welfare, Mr. Otani (the first round of the Major League World Series was held on the day), thank you for choosing Harvest festival. There were about 300 participants before COVID-19, but this time about 180 people. Although the number of participants has decreased, I am still grateful to be able to gather this much. I want to revive the excitement again. "
Everyone who participated, thank you very much! Thank you very much.
We all go to the field from Hitorizawa Shrine.
A lot of small children also participated.
Director General of Isogo Ward also participated. Neighborhood Associations officers told me, "The thick vines have large potatoes," and got a great big potato!
The afternoon dinner was canceled because the Hitorizawa Shrine office was used as a polling place for the lower house election the next day, but everyone was pleased to receive a bag of souvenir potatoes.
