What is the Disaster Prevention License Leader?
The city of Yokohama has designated elementary and junior high schools nearby in evacuation shelter as a place for evacuation of affected residents and as a base for rescue and rescue activities by residents.
As a core human resource responsible for the establishment and operation of the evacuation shelter, students who learn about the handling of "life equipment" and "rescue equipment" are certified as leaders of equipment handling (disaster prevention license leaders).
