34.Yeongchun! The 2022 Izumi Ward New Year's Day Ceremony was held.

Last updated on January 25, 2022.

On January 5, we held the 2022 Izumi Ward New Year's Day Ceremony, co-hosted by the Izumi Ward Association of Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations as a place to pray for a bright and healthy year. Last year it was canceled due to the spread of COVID-19 infection, but this time it was held after taking measures to prevent infection, such as narrowing down the number of participants and shortening the time.
Izumi Ward's proud Mount Fuji was clearly visible in the blue sky on the day, making the weather suitable for the New Year's ceremony. Although the ceremony was less than an hour, I am very pleased that I was able to meet and greet many people who support Izumi Ward, such as local communities and businesses. In addition, as an attraction, there were performances by Okazu Taiko and Okazu Hayashiren from the Izumi folk performing arts Preservation Society, one of the traditional cultures of Izumi Ward.
I would like to thank all of you who participated, Okazu Taiko and Okazu Hayashiren.
This year, we will continue to work closely on providing basic services as a ward office, and "Let's move on to Mirai!" With the "with the community", the staff will work together to value local connections and promote various initiatives.

January 25, 2022 Atsuko Fukagawa, Mayor of Izumi
