3 About drinking water
How to use water receiving tank water
Please refer to the figure below, "How to remove water in the receiving tank."
When tap water stops, make sure that there is still water in the tank.
Some schools use direct taps for drinking water, and some water tanks are used as toilet water. However, the receiving tank is regularly managed, such as cleaning, so that it can be used as drinking water. In the event of a disaster, residual chlorine contained for disinfection may have disappeared, so check the residual chlorine concentration before using.
Drinking is possible if residual chlorine is detected. If it is not detected or cannot be measured, use it as domestic water such as washing your face.
To the Steering Committee Members
Please check the following.
- Where is the receiving tank?
- Where is the water in the receiving tank usually used in toilets, etc.?
- Can the residual chlorine concentration measuring device used in the school pool be used?
