6 Insect control measures
Places where insects are likely to occur
Please check and clean the following areas regularly.
Garbage storage area (collection area)
If food residues are contained, the residue may rot and ferment, causing flies etc. by emitting odors. Especially in summer, it has a noticeable effect.
Take measures such as tying the mouth of the garbage bag firmly and replacing the garbage bag frequently.
If the place where the pest occurred is indoors, clean up the garbage and clean the garbage storage area. Also, if it is outside, spray insecticide.
If a pest occurs inside the garbage bag, tie the mouth of a plastic bag etc. firmly and put it out for garbage collection.
Toilet
Flies may gather due to the smell of the toilet. Thoroughly tie the mouth of the stool bag used in the stool, so that the smell does not leak out as much as possible. (Refer to the poster "How to use toilet packs" (PDF: 292KB))
In addition, poor cleaning of the toilet can cause pests to gather and, as a result, transmit infectious diseases. Let's clean up frequently.
Puddle
If there is a puddle, it can be a source of mosquitoes. If empty cans or old tires are left unattended, rainwater etc. may accumulate in them and become a source of mosquitoes. Please also check the surroundings.
When an insect is in trouble
Please consult Kanazawa Ward disaster headquarters.
Please consult us as soon as possible before a large outbreak occurs. I'll go to the survey as soon as I'm ready.
