Yokohama City Urban Planning Master Plan Naka Ward Plan “Naka Ward Town Development Policy”

The Yokohama City Urban Planning Master Plan is positioned as a "basic policy on city planning of municipalities" stipulated in Article 18-2 of the City Planning Act.
In line with the “Yokohama City Basic Plan (Long-Term Vision)” and “Maintenance and Development of Urban Planning Areas and conservation’s Policy,” the “Yokohama City Medium-Term Four-Year Plan” and city-specific plans, we aim to realize a future urban image that is integrated with these.
The Yokohama City Urban Planning Master Plan consists of “Overall Plans” and “Regional Plans.” The Naka Ward City Urban Planning Master Plan and Naka Ward Plan, which are based on regional plans, outlines a desirable future image of Naka Ward and sets out basic policies for town development to realize these goals.

The Yokohama City Urban Planning Master Plan and Naka Ward Plan “Naka Ward Town Development Policy” (hereinafter referred to as “Naka Ward Town Development Policy”) was formulated in July 2005 based on the opinions of residents ofNaka Ward, as well as the basic policies of town development to realize this plan. More than 10 years have passed since the formulation, and in the meantime, the Naka Ward Plan was revised in March 2020 based on changes in social conditions, the current state of the ward, and the revision of the Yokohama City Urban Planning Master Plan, which is a plan for the entire city area.
