It's fun! (July 29, 2020)

I will introduce the duties of each section of the ward office.

Last updated on July 29, 2020.

In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection, we have been forced to cancel our business and local activities this year, and we are filled with disappointing feelings. The outbreak of infectious diseases is still unpredictable even in Kanagawa Prefecture, and I think that everyone is spending an inconvenient and uneasy day.
I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to all those affected by heavy rain disasters in West Japan and the Chubu region, mainly in the Kyushu region.
In Nishi Ward Office, we will work together to protect and support the safe lives of residents of the city.
From this month, I would like to introduce the duties of the ward office for each section. We hope that you will feel closer to the ward office while you know various duties and approaches, and that you will be able to help you every day. First, I would like to introduce General Affairs Division.
Information from each section of the ward office is also available on the Nishi Ward website, the public relations Yokohama Nishi Ward version, and Nishi Ward Twitter. Please take advantage of it.

Office business introduction [1st] General Affairs Division

In preparation for disasters, we are implementing disaster prevention measures at the Nishi Ward.

In July, record heavy rains continued every day in the Kyushu region and other parts of Japan, causing severe damage. In recent years, heavy rains have become frequent and intensified, and it is very important to anticipate evacuation behavior in advance to protect yourself.
In addition to supporting the efforts of the self support and community support in the region, General Affairs Division is implementing disaster prevention drills, promoting measures against infectious diseases in refuge, and strengthening cooperation with disaster prevention related organizations to enhance disasterNishi Ward's disaster prevention functions.

We manage government buildings that take measures against the COVID-19 infection.

We are making various efforts to improve the government building environment so that everyone coming to the ward office can proceed comfortably and with peace of mind. In response to the spread of COVID-19 infection, we are taking measures against infectious diseases at ward offices, installing acrylic boards at windows to prevent droplet infection, and disinfecting work in government buildings to prevent contact infection.
In order to avoid congestion at the counter, we have posted on the Nishi Ward website that allows you to complete procedures by mail.

This year, the census is conducted once every five years.

This year, the census will be conducted nationwide with October 1 as the base date. The census is the most important statistical survey in Japan conducted once every five years for all people and households living in Japan based on the law of the Statistical Law. As a result, since the actual situation of Japan's population and households can be understood, it is used as basic data for various administrative measures.
We will conduct a survey from mid-September after taking measures against the COVID-19 infection, such as reviewing the survey method. Thank you for your cooperation.
