It's fun! (September 5, 2020)

In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection, events and gatherings in each region continued to be canceled, but we have gradually adopted a new lifestyle in Nishi Ward and have resumed local activities.

On Saturday, September 5, an appointment ceremony for junior volunteers in District 5 was held in Nishi public hall.
Every year, it was shown on the stage of the Fifth District Summer Festival held in Nishi public hall around July, but since the summer festival was canceled this year, only the appointment ceremony was held.

The Junior Volunteer is the first initiative in Nishi Ward that began in District 5, in which elementary school studenｔ students from Hiranuma Elementary School and Okano Middle School are invited to participate in the management of various local activities. In addition to helping local events such as the summer festival, parent-child contact party held every year, free salon 5 and kitchen 5, which are places for children, we will also experience wheelchairs and visit care plazas to deepen our understanding of welfare. We have a wide range of activities, such as having you deepen.
Mr. Hirano, Chairman of the Neighborhood Association Federation of District 5, presented a certificate of appointment and a bibs to be worn during the activities to volunteer elementary school studenｔ students. This year, 9 junior volunteers and 5 junior high school students were born.

In District 5, the goal of “children also play a role in the community” is set in the “Nikomachi Plan” district-specific plan for the Nishi Ward Health and Welfare Plan. Junior volunteers can be said to be an effort to implement these goals.
In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection this year, we may find it difficult as usual. Even in such a case, I think that junior volunteers full of young power will come up with unprecedented methods from a new perspective and deliver a good wind to the community.
