From 12:15 on the third Wednesday of the month, a concert featuring musicians living in Aoba Ward is held at the ward office on the first floor of the ward office.

Lunch mini-concerts are held for the purpose of allowing residents of the city to easily listen to high-quality music.
We are looking for performers from Aoba Ward and Aoba Ward who are currently performing professionally.
If you would like to appear in "Aoba Music Plaza Lunch Mini Concert", please apply.
[How to apply] Mail or bring the appearance application form (downloaded below) with a CD-R recording one song to be played at the "Lunch Mini Concert".

The 301st Anniversary Concert-African Festival
We will deliver authentic African music by playing musical instruments and singing!
Would you like to experience African music and culture?
A brief exhibition of African folk art will be held in the venue!

[Participation]
①A stamp program for November or December is required. After each concert, get a stamp at the stamp setting place in the inhabitant of a ward hall and bring it on the day.

In August 2025, the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9) will be held in Yokohama.
TICAD is an international conference on the theme of African development, which has been led by the Japanese government since 1993 and has been attended by leaders and other stakeholders from various African countries. The 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) will be held from August 20 to August 22, 2025, following the 4th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) in 2008, the 5th in 2013, and the 7th in 2019.
As a host city, we warmly welcome people who participate in the conference together with citizens and businesses, contribute to safe and smooth operation of the conference, deepen exchanges with Africa, and as a "city closest to Africa", we have been interacting and cooperating with Africa.

Junior Festival Audition
On Wednesday, August 6, 2025 and Thursday, 7th, we hold "Aoba music open space junior festival" in 2025 in Aoba Ward government office the first floor inhabitant of a ward hall.
Prior to this, an audition of the performers will be held at the Aoba Kumin Cultural Center Philia Hall on Saturday, May 10, 2025 to determine the performers of the "Aoba Music Plaza Junior Festival".
Everyone from elementary school students to high school students who are working on music, please join us!

Junior festival
Those who have achieved excellent results during the junior festival audition held at the Philea Hall will perform at the lunch mini-concert held at the Kumin Hall on the first floor of the Aoba Ward Hall.
