Cat mound
3 Walk along the historic sites of rivers and water sources A good part and the hills of Sachigaoka (around Zenbe, Kibogaoka, Sachigaoka)⑦
According to oral tradition, during Genroku, a pilgrimage grandmother passed through the village of Zenbe and died due to hunger and fatigue.
A cat was squealing next to him, but died following him.
The villagers buried their grandmothers and cats in that place, built mounds and stone monuments, memorialized them, and then buried them when the cute cats and dogs died.
The current stone monument was erected by the Yokohama Asahi Rotary Club.
