If you are 18 years old or older and under 70 years old and live, work, or study in Tsurumi Ward, you can join.
In addition, although there are certain conditions, foreign nationals can also join.

Rather than participating a lot, you can basically work according to your own convenience.
It is possible to do activities within a reasonable range while doing original work, school work, and housework.
Currently, about 500 people from various occupations and ages are active in Tsurumi fire brigade.
In addition, many women are enrolled, making use of women's unique perspectives and attentives, and are active in various situations such as disaster prevention guidance, public relations activities, and equipment management for residents.

Three employees of Man Transport Co., Ltd., a logistics business in Komaoka, Tsurumi Ward, joined Tsurumi fire brigade and were certified as Tsurumi fire brigade Co., Ltd. for their active cooperation in fire brigade activities. Tsurumi fire brigade will work closely with all of its offices to strengthen local fire and disaster prevention systems.

Training for new members (practical skills) was conducted.
We took the first step as a fire brigade employee through training ceremonies, handling equipment and water discharge training, which are the foundations of our activities in fire brigade.

The fire brigade resignation ceremony was held, and each new member was handed a resignation from Katori fire brigade chief. We are expected to play an active role as a new force for Tsurumi Ward's safety and security!

In 2024, the Tsurumi Ward fire ceremony was held at Tsurumi public hall and JR Tsurumi Station West Exit Ekimae Mall Square.
On the day of the event, a ceremony was held at Tsurumi public hall, a general training program was held in cooperation with Tsurumi fire department and Tsurumi fire brigade. At JR Tsurumi Station West Exit Station square mall, fire trucks were displayed and fire brigade staff were recruited.

Training leaders are members who plan and provide guidance for fire brigade training to improve fire brigade's ability. Training instructor training has reached its sixth term in this term, and it has become a lively training.

If someone suddenly has a heart attack or cardiac arrest in the city or workplace, if you can use cardiopulmonary resuscitation or AED without leaving it and respond as soon as possible, the survival rate will be very high even after cardiopulmonary arrest . In preparation for this, we worked on the course while assuming the actual situation.

On Saturday, November 18, 2023, the 8th branch of fire brigade Tsurumi participated in the firefighting maneuvering training session held in Fire Academy, Yokohama City, in Totsuka Ward, where the Tsurumi Ward team was represented. Next, I will participate in the Kanagawa Prefectural Games held in July 2024 as a representative of Yokohama City.
