SDGs lockers will be installed in the atrium and Saint Marianna University School of Medicine, Yokohama City Seibu Hospital on the first floor of Yokohama City Hall!

Yokohama City and Yokohama SDGs Design Center are promoting initiatives to achieve the SDGs.
As an initiative to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs and the reduction of waste, we will set up a new SDGs locker that can purchase bread and other foods from specialty stores that are discarded within the expiration date at the Atrium (Naka Ward) and Saint Marianna University School of Medicine, Yokohama City Seibu Hospital (Asahi Ward) on the first floor of the Yokohama City Hall. At the atrium on the first floor of the Yokohama City Hall, SDGs lockers will be operated using renewable energy generated by next-generation solar cells that are being demonstrated at the same location. In addition to bread, Saint Marianna University School of Medicine, Yokohama City Seibu Hospital also sells non-standard vegetables harvested in the city for the first time in SDGs lockers.
This initiative can reduce waste by about 4.6 tons/year in the former and about 3.5 tons/year in the latter.
