Yokohama City Council Committee on Policy / General Affairs / Finance carries out public opinion offer for partial revision of the regulations about promotion of self support and community support at the time of disaster!

　The 10th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake, and in recent years, natural disasters have become more severe due to the effects of climate change, causing frequent damage in various places. In order to respond to such natural disasters, there is a growing need for citizens and businesses to prepare on a daily basis to protect their lives and help each other in the event of a large-scale disaster. .
　In order to ensure that the lessons learned from Great East Japan Earthquake are not weathered and that they are in line with the changing times, we decided that some ordinances should be revised and that citizens and businesses should further promote self support-community support initiatives.
　Therefore, Yokohama City Council Committee on Policy / General Affairs / Finance is considering revising a part of the Ordinance on Promotion of self support and community support in the Event of a Disaster in Yokohama City, which was enacted in 2013.
