In the lecture, Mr. Ogawa spoke about the outline of the organization and business in the United Nations Secretariat (economic field), his work to date, and the development and progress of indicators related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
He also talked about his career as aspirations for an international organization, his experience in the United Nations Young Professional Program Recruitment Examination, age and gender composition of UN Secretariat staff, and work-life balance.
During the Q & A session, students asked questions such as "The hardships and responses to data collection from each country", "Evaluation of Japanese people to the United Nations", and "How to approach university days". Mr. Ogawa responded from the perspective of a United Nations official.
At a later date, students said, "The path to working at international institutions became concrete through this lecture," "The SDGs emphasized the importance of" no one ", and it was impressive that some people were left behind on data despite being incorporated," and "In the rest of the university life, I was able to think and execute what I could do now and have the opportunity to prepare myself.
